Life in Alma, Arkansas
Just off of I-40 sits the quaint town of Alma,
Arkansas. Minutes from the city limits of Fort Smith, Alma offers
visitors a glimpse into small town life with big town choices of
entertainment. The Alma Performing Arts Center offers first-class
productions during their 7-show season. There is something for everyone;
from country artist Roy Clark, Broadway production of Singin' in
the Rain, a holiday Christmas show with Gary Morris, an evening
with Mark Twain, The Spirit of Ireland, spiritual singer, Ray Boltz
and ending the season with The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. The beautiful
Performing Arts Center has top notch sound and a vast theatre.
Nationally known in Alma is the annual Spinach
Festival. In the rich soil around Alma grows their bumper crop of
spinach and every harvest is celebrated with music, food, shopping
and games. The Spinach Festival draws thousands of people annually.
The School House Prairie subdivision off of Hwy.
64 and Lighthouse Road welcomes homeowners to a safe neighborhood
