Here are the basics in order to getting started:
• Must be licensed. Craft Real Estate offers: Arkansas Real Estate Academy where you have fun learning! The 60 Hour Pre-Licensing courses start monthly and run for 9 days. Click here for more information and to enroll online.

• After you obtain your 60 hour certificate, you must fill out a background check and an application to be eligible to take the test. It must be sent with a $50.00 cashiers check.
• When you get your eligibility certificate you can call and schedule a time to take your test. Usually within 10 days.
• Study hard!!!!
• Day of test (usually in Springdale) is $75.00 for the test. (Every time you take the test is $75.00)
• Once you pass your exam you have app. 90 days to place your license with a licensed Principal Broker. You have 1 year to acquire the 18 hour post licensure course.
• When you join a firm that is a member of the Realtor Association you will be required to pays dues to the National Association of Realtors, Arkansas Realtors Association, Local Board of Realtors, and Local MLS. This may be anywhere between $250.00-$700.00 depending on the quarter of the year you join.
• Then you will need to order business cards, name riders, and marketing promotional.
• You must get the training you will need in order to be successful!

 

Education & Designation Scholarships

Craft Real Estate believes in the more education you have the more you are prepared for your career.
Craft Real Estate encourages designation classes and promotes the agents to acquire designations.
Craft Real Estate has adapted a Post Licensure Designation Scholarship.
This scholarship will pay up to $500.00 yearly towards your designation classes.
When the sales agent attends a designation class when they return Craft Real Estate returns half the amount back to the sales agent.
The sales agent may obtain up to $500.00 yearly towards their designation.
This scholarship does not apply towards the sales agent 6hr CE that is required every year.

Bonuses $$$$$$$

Every 4 months Craft Real Estate offers a $1,000.00 bonus to the top producing agent.
This is based upon credits not volume. Each closing represents 1 credit. If it is your listing and your sale, this would be 2 credits. The agent with the most credits is awarded the bonus.

Investment Fund:

Craft Real Estate offers an Investment Fund for its sales agents.
This investment fund is predetermined by the sales agent of how much they want to invest.
A certain percentage or amount is deducted from the sales agent commission check at closings.
This is deposited into a money market account and may be withdrawn from 1 a year without penalties.
These funds are used towards the down payment of an investment property of the sales agent’s choice.
1 investment property is bought annually with financial help from First Community Bank of Crawford County. A financial advisor is retained to assist the sales agents in any of their questions or tax concerns.
A complete investment fund agreement is available through the principal broker of Craft Real Estate.

Experience & On-staff Attorney:

 

Craft Real Estate was founded March 17, 1977 by Thomas L Craft Jr. and Thomas L Craft Sr.
Both men have retained their Brokers license since. Tom Sr. has built many homes through out Sebastian County and now serves as a Justice of the Peace & member of the Ft. Smith Quorum Court.
Tommy Jr. received his Attorneys License in 1980 and has developed many subdivisions in Sebastian & Crawford County.
On July 15, 2003, Amy Gilstrap-Craft joined the Craft Real Estate team and opened Craft Real Estate in their new location at 711 Pointer Trail in Van Buren. Amy is a daughter of a 3rd generation builder and has many years experience in the Real Estate profession. Amy is the principal broker of Craft Real Estate and believes in providing the sales agents with proper training.
Craft Real Estate is a Christian based company with basic Christian principles.
